Welcome to our web site!

This web site is operated by the Elkins Area Bands Auxiliary (EABA). We are the organization of band parents who volunteer their time and talents to support the Elkins High School and Elkins Middle School bands.

This support includes fundraising activities to pay for the monetary needs of the bands such as buying uniforms, instruments, music and paying transportation costs, as well as providing the help in keeping track of, collecting, and repairing uniforms, providing band camp and trip chaperones, pulling the trailer, and the parent pit crew that helps set up the pit at band shows.

For our organization to be successful, we need the help and support of all our band students, parents, and our local community.

This web site is made possible through the donation of server space by Adam's Web Works and is by band parent Chuck Keller.

Meet Our Band Directors

We are fortunate to have the band directors that we have. Meet our directors below.

Elkins Middle School Band Director Jason Baker and EHS Band Director Jeff Caplinger

Elkins Middle School Band Director Jason Baker has put together a great band program for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

While the 6th and 7th grade bands play in band class and have several concerts each year, the 8th grade band is responsible for marching in several local parades and perform at middle school football games.

Mr. Baker's program teaches students the fundamentals while preparing them to move up into the high school band program.

Mr. Baker directs the 8th grade band at the EABA Annual Corn Roast fundraiser in the Elkins City Park.

Left: Former EHS Director Jeff Caplinger has returned as the "new" band director. Mr. Caplinger has been teaching at Jennings Randolph Elementary the last 3 years and is excited to be back at EHS and directing the band. Mr Caplinger plans to bring back many of the traditions that have been part of the band's tradition of excellence! Mr. Caplinger is married to current EMS Chior Director Lisa Caplinger and together they have 6 children.

The EABA welcomes Back Mr. Caplinger!

Thank You to Our Business Community

You have seen the EHS band parade through town for Friday night football games or at the Forest Festival Fireman's parade with the equipment trailer being pulled behind the band.

When we arrive at the show we unload the equipment trailer and put it onto our pit carts which we pull onto the field. When the Elkins High School Fighting Tigers Marching Band marches or performs here or away, we represent our community. The students proudly wear their new uniforms.

When the Elkins Middle School Eighth Grade Hornet Marching Band marches or performs for the community, the students proudly wear their uniforms.

We are fortunate to live in a community where our business community regularly supports us through donations of money or whatever we need throughout the year to help us provide uniforms and equipment to keep the bands going. This support has been a large part of our success each year. Thank you to all businesses who have helped us in any way throughout the 2008 - 2009 year in supporting our bands. Your support is greatly appreciated and benefits the students.

Have a Great Summer!
